Aphrodite and all things Fertile

Aphrodite...
Isis...
Freyja...
It’s Goddess of Fertility Day.

If you’re looking to fall pregnant,
 your thoughts should be
with Aphrodite today.
(People sometimes offer
 flowers or incense.)
I was surprised to see
just how many Gods of Fertility
there have been
throughout the ages!
 Frigg was a Nordic God.
 Frigg – Great name!
 She protected a man’s marriage
 and made him fertile.
She was so capable,
that merely speaking her name
 was enough to add children
 to a marriage!
 (Don’t say “frig!”
 if a condom breaks today!)

There is one Goddess
I am not too impressed with...
Hawaiian Goddess, Haumea
was continually reborn –
allowing her to always return
to mate with her own children...
wrong, right?
And, I am definitely pleased
that I have far fewer breasts
 than Cybele, the Roman
 Goddess of Fertility!

Regardless, today is
Goddess of Fertility Day...
Use the day wisely!
