Because of the actions of adults.

This week is Child Protection Week. 

It’s also White Balloon Day.

Sadly, one in five children in Australia

are sexually assaulted

before their 18^th birthday.

59 000 children are sexually assaulted

in Australia

each year.

In 95% of the cases, the offender is

someone the child is related to

or knows well

and has trusted.

White Balloon Day has raised

awareness of these facts.
